This morning, a friend and I were reminiscing about some of the very first Collection shows, and realizing we’ve been doing this thing for 8 years, in some capacity or another. What a blessing, then, that this year was our best year in SO many ways, from shows and relationships, to record and now, to find out, streaming. We’ve been lucky enough to do this because of YOU- listening, coming out to shows, and sharing with your friends. And to see that we had more than twice as many listeners than last year, at 705, 661 on Spotify alone, is an immense blessing. While we truly know that numbers and stats are not everything (personal relationships and interactions have been the most meaningful part of this whole thing), these feel like a blessing to us because it helps us keep playing, making records, and hitting the road, especially as we journey into 2019 with some new projects and ideas up our sleeves. 8 years deep, and I still can’t believe people listen to and connect with these songs. Massive shout-outs about our merch- the lovely merch signs were done by our bass player’s own wife, @cymbr0 , who does amazing signage and art for your every need. Check out her work!! Our shirt designs this tour were done by our good friend @elsarhae who has the MOST interesting YouTube channel also! The shirts themselves printed by @machinegungraphics who has honestly helped us so much, always done quality work, and been there for us in a pinch. Our album art was done by @susan_harrell_fineart who is AMAZING and the layout was done by incredible friend @vosloo , and their team effort made it amazing. Our singer David Wimbish will be playing a free intimate solo set at the Winston-Salem Public House this Saturday! Come if you’d like to hear the stories behind the songs, soft ones from the new album, and even some B-Sides that didn’t quite make it onto Entropy. Plus, it’s his first solo set since his accident, and being able to play guitar again. The lovely @mollysimpsonian will be opening, starting at 9. Been back from tour for over a week now, and just wanted to say a GIANT thank you to everyone that came out to a show, sang along, danced along, bought merch, and/or hugged us with an encouraging word. I really do feel like touring and playing live is the essence of this band, where we can be most ourselves, and it means so much that y’all would come out and be a part of it! So THANK YOU! We love you, and can’t wait to be playing shows again ASAP (NC friends - mark your calendars for New Years Eve; we’ve got something fun in the works).
